Under 9′s Runners Up in Ashburton Community Tournament

ashburton cupRingwood City under 9 boys took part in Ashburton community day tournament on Sunday. The boys played 3 matches ,1 draw,1 unlucky loss and a 7 – 1 win which saw the boys finished the day as runners up. Great effort.  The boys played very well and adapted to the unusual conditions, sloping ground, band playing next to pitch, Asian dancers and an ambulance driving over the pitch during the game. Over all it was a fantastic day and well run by Ashburton soccer club and the boys had lots of fun. Thanks to  Jake and Zack for filling in for the under 9 and Owen, Tarrant, Isaac, Tom V and Tom N and families for proudly representing the club.

Season Opening Event-Cancelled

Not sure if you’ve looked out the window but it’s raining or more like pouring and for those that haven’t looked all the weather reports are indicating that this is here to stay for number of days yet.

Unfortunately,  this has a major impact on our planned event for Saturday evening 12th April with the Season Opener for Ringwood City.  This combined with the reduced numbers due to us having to hold the event during school holidays has resulted in the Board’s decision this evening to cancel this event.

It is important that everybody across the club be informed to ensure that we don’t have people turning up at Jubilee expecting the event to still be on.  This is where we need your help.  Please get the message out to all players and parents.

We should also thank those who have put in a lot of work preparing for the event.
