Small Sided Football

Small-Sided Football (SSF) is a modified version of football for boys and girls aged 5 – 11 introduced at the beginning of 2008 by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a nationwide junior development program.

SSF is about children learning and experiencing football in a structured way which both meets their developmental needs and, above all, provides them with LOTS OF FUN.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has provided a Small Sided Football (SSF) website which contains lots of valuable information as well as lots of FUN STUFF for the kids to do when they are not outside playing football.

The introductory Small Sided Football Video, hosted by Socceroos’ skipper Lucas Neill, is recommended viewing and the information under the ‘Parents and Coaches’ icon.
