With our game postponed the week earlier and another disrupted training schedule, it was going to be interesting to see how the boys would come out against the Eastern Lions team. All players (bar one) were available and had the luxury of an even bigger sleep in due to the later start to the game.

From the start of the game, it was clear that the boys did come to play and began pressuring the home side’s defence early. This pressure resulted in several corners won by our team. The first few corners taken landed too close to the keeper, but once the boys (Michael and Alex) got their eye in, their placement was almost spot on allowing our taller players to attack the ball.
